0 notes nbadraft.net's mock draft is awkward

Fan of the NBA Draft? Love Draft analysis? Speculation and rumors? You probably read nbadraft.net then. Along with DraftExpress, you can probably get a good gist of who is who in this year’s (or any year)  draft.

But the latest 2009 mock draft from nbadraft has something wrong with it. Take a second to scan it or read it if you care.

Notice anything? If you did, it’s probably what’s going on at #24. Jrue Holiday* goes to the Blazers at #24 with a gigantic block of bitterness and angry text next to his name. What happened here?

No other site has Holiday dropping that low. Some even have him going at #4 to the Kings. Most have him lottery bound. But 24?

Nbadraft has a point though. The questions they bring up are relevant. Jrue hasn’t had a chance to run the point for a team. He didn’t do a ton for UCLA last year either.

But isn’t the point of a mock draft to guess how nba teams will pick? Are teams not going to call his name? And would the Kings seriously let him pass at #23? I find this hard to believe. But I will eat my words if Jrue drops this low. Good luck Jrue.

*Jrue is pronounced Drew. Seriously. I, however, plan to continue to call him Jay-Ru.

** I also have never seen Jrue Holiday play at UCLA or high school. But that name draws me in like a moth to a flame.
