buy.com victory
I ordered something from buy.com at 3AM monday morning. I chose the cheapest shipping option that said would take 7-9 days. It arrived today, Tuesday, at 9am.
Congratulations to fedex and buy.com. You have just guaranteed that I will never buy a better shipping method from you. Not that I ever would actually consider buying better shipping, but now it’s gone from a 99% chance to a 99.1%.

Rails and Merb are now BFF. When I went to this tech talk, I thought merb was definitely picking up the slack where rails had stagnated. I’ve been meaning to give merb a try, but now maybe I’ll just wait for rails 3. Yay for ruby.

Denpa Shonen was a reality show from a decade ago in Japan about a guy that was forced to live in a tiny apartment and only live off stuff he won in contests. Here’s the ancient article about it. I’m sure you’ve read it before, but now you get to watch it.

My Macbook pro doubles as a hand warmer.
I have a burrito
My burrito has no lettuce. They ran out. I like lettuce. Here are my options:
1) Unwrap burrito, insert lettuce, rewrap burrito. Potentially very messy.
2) Eat Burrito. Potentially unappetizing.
3) Stare at burrito. Write on tumblr instead. Starve; actually become a skeleton.
Too bad it’s not halloween. This skin & bones thing is pretty awesome.

Excitement
Last Friday Night, my friend told me to turn the wrong way in to a one way street in San Francisco. She says it was on accident. Sure. I got a 1/4 of the way in to the turn before we both realized our mistake.
Then about 10 minutes later, we encountered a car going the wrong way on a 1 way street we were driving on.
That’s San Francisco.

This morning, as I was walking to my car, I crossed paths with a lady who was struggling to carry a tub of books. Because I have muscles that rival those of newborn babies, I offered to help. She expressed her gratitude and handed me the tub. Then I clumsily spilled her books all over the sidewalk.
